Group messages not downloading android

Both my wife and I have an issue with receiving MMS files from my daughter. This is a real conundrum. I have a note 8.

They never download. When Im on my cell carrier network, the files will download. Please check to see whether the data is enough to send MMS messages. Thank you and have a great day!

I could have changed a setting without realizing what it would effect…I am not a TECH kinda girl lmao. We are sorry to hear that you have issues with MMS messages. Please try out the fixes in this article and see whether it works for you. I have the same problem. I dont know what i have changed. Did you work it out as this article does not help?

Thanks Sue. I am having the same problem. My carrier is thru Verizon. Been a problem for several months now. None of the above fixes my problem. Hi Rhonda! Do you have signal and can you use your device to make calls and texts? Your email address will not be published.

Skip to content. Check your network connection. Free up your messaging space. Remove task-killers. I will receive all of my texts, however, if I am in a one-to-one text message. I have factory reset my phone, ensured that the MMS auto download is on, the service center flashed the phone, and I have done all the things. When I am in a group text, I will recieve some of the texts but then some of them will not download. The text will fall under the person who sent it and it will have the following:.

At this point, I am ready to give up on Samsung. The service location could not resolve the issue and told me that I would have to send the phone into the service center without a temp being provided. Obviously, sending my phone in without a back up is not an option. I have been having this issue for about two months now. It happens when I am on my mobile data only and wifi only. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.

This is my last ditch effort before I move unhappily away from Samsung and to an iPhone. Go to Solution. View solution in context. Sometimes cache files are corrupt, leading to Android MMS not downloading.

To fix this issue, it is necessary to clear the cache and data for the messaging app. Firstly, you can boot your phone to safe mode to eliminate the reason. In this mode, all the third-party apps are disabled. Just test the ability of MMS. If messages can be downloaded, a third-party app is a culprit. Usually, some cleaner apps or antivirus programs interfere with the normal working of your phone.

The best way is to uninstall them. If all of these methods fail to work, the only solution is to perform a factory reset. This can delete all your files, apps, and data. Before you do, you should create a backup for your device.

How can you fix MMS messages not downloading if you encounter this issue on your Android phone? Follow these solutions above and you can easily get rid of it.
